El iñupiaq (Iñupiatun) es una lengua inuit de la familia esquimo-aleutiana, hablada por el norte y el noroeste de Alaska. Unas 3.000 personas lo hablan, en su mayoría ancianos, con programas de revitalización en Utqiagvik (Barrow), Kotzebue y otras comunidades iñupiat. En 2014 el iñupiaq fue reconocido como una de las 20 lenguas oficiales de Alaska.
El iñupiaq moderno usa una ortografía de base latina desarrollada en los años setenta en la Universidad de Alaska, con letras adicionales como ḷ, ł, ñ, ŋ y ġ para representar sonidos específicos. Como otras lenguas inuit es polisintético —una sola palabra puede codificar sujeto, objeto, modo y muchos conceptos derivativos— y usa un alineamiento ergativo-absolutivo en el verbo.
