El sundanés (Basa Sunda) es una lengua austronesia del oeste de Java, hablada por unos 42 millones de personas, la segunda lengua local más hablada de Indonesia después del javanés. Se concentra en las provincias de Java Occidental y Banten, con comunidades de la diáspora en Lampung y Yakarta. El corazón sundanés está en torno a Bandung.
El sundanés moderno se escribe casi siempre con el alfabeto latino, pero la abugida autóctona Aksara Sunda Baku —revivida oficialmente en Java Occidental en 2003— también se enseña en las escuelas y se usa en la señalización.
